Unified communications manager business edition beep on transfer

Hi

I have CUCM-BE with Unity connection (Standard) ver.8.5.1.10000-26.

Main number is answered by Unity and transferred to a hunt group. When the call is transferred you hear three beeps. I have configured a MOH on the Device Pool where the Voicemail port are. I would like to get rid of the beeps and only hear the MOH from the call manager.

Any one??

Hi,

I think you need to make sure that the  Incoming Gateway has access to the MOH

Hi,

What about the gateway config in CUCM

You need to make sure that it has access to the MOH server via the MRGL in the device pool.

Hi Niels,

Just to add one other thing to the great ideas from Alex (+5"A"!)

I believe the MOH relationship for the CUC ports is actually built via the Common Device Configuration

settings that are applied to the individual CUC Voicemail ports (via CUCM). Have a look at what the

ports are using in CUCM and either adjust the MOH references or build a new

Common Device Configuration profile that uses the proper MOH and reconfig the ports

accordingly.

Cheers!

There's a relatively new bug ID that has been causing this type of problems on PSTN calls with H323 GW and IOS 15

Is the problem only MOH when doing the transfer?

What happens if you call from an internal IP Phone to the same Translation pattern going to Unity, leaving the Gw out of the picture?

Do you have problems with MOH for any other PSTN calls?

It is actually very simple and very strange. I have two translation patterns that translate the main number to a hunt pilot that uses a set if voicemail ports to call a call handler in Unity. Both number is doing the same set of port, same set of ccs and pt, same MRGL. One call handler delives a wellcome message and sends the call back to a switch board system the other is a IVR asking for caller input press 1, press 2 etc.

The forwarder to switchboard forward and when testing i can get it to play MOH

The IVR plays three beeps on transfer nevermind what i do. I have even change it to forward to the switch board system i still plays. I makes no difference.

I get the excact same issue whether i dial internally or externally through the gateway. So the gateway is not the issue.

The issue is in UNITY and the way it uses MOH on the cucm.
