Unique Dial Plan - Best Deployment

santiago

Hi,

I'm a deploying a new cluster. ( PUB + SUB )

The topology will be :  Main site ( PUB + Sub ) with 2 2900s ( 2 PRI each )

                                      4 x Remote Sites ( connected oWAN ) with 1 2900 ( 1 PRI each )   & SRST Option

4 x Remote Sites ( connected oWAN ) with 1 2900 with SRST option only.

All the PRI's will be registered MGCP to the Call Manager. ( All the PRIs connected to the PSTN )

My Main idea is to create 9 Device Pools and 9 Regions ( Each one per site ). Each region will use  g.729 for calls between sites.

The Dial Plan is the same for all the sites so my idea is to use a unique dial plan . The only doubt i have is for the PRI using.

For example, a site that contains PRI, should make it's calls to the PSTN with first priority to the local PRI then to the MAIN site PRIs.

A site without PRI should use only the MAIN site PRIs.

I will be glad to hear any tips and advices about this deployment.

Thanks,

Santiago.

Hi

This is simply can be achieved by using CUCM local route group feature

Where you create different route groups for each site and add in each route group the required gateway for pstn call routing in the order you like

Then create one route list and select the routing option standard local route group

In each device pool in the route group select the desired route group created before for that site to use

Now in the route pattern select the route list created above and if a user dial a number match this route pattern the route list will Check the device pool of calling device and use it's configured route groupe

This way you will have one dial plan for all the sites with different pstn route groups

See the bellow document for more details

Hope this help
