Unknown WIC in slot(0/0), wic card has an unknown id of 0x51

Hi!

have a problem with a Cisco 2911/K9  with 1 x PVDM2-16 + the PVDM adapter and 2 x VIC2-BRI-NT/TE. This should be a supported combination.

We see the cards when doing a sh diag, but they do not appear at all when doing sh run, in fact no voice conf is shown at all. We can not for example see any voice ports and we can not issue the voice commands etc,

We have the proper UC license activated and it shows as active when doing sh lic

In the log we get Unknown WIC in slot 0/01, wic card has an unknown id of 0x51.

IOS is c2900-universalk9-mz,151-4.M5.bin

I can not find that this IOS should be incompatible.

Any ideas?

Do you have the card type specified?

card type {t1 | e1} slot [bay]

I know it's an old post but I had the same issue and could not find the resolution on this post.

The fix for me was to enable uck9 license on my Cisco 2911 router.

Ensure it's permanent.

I used IOS version : c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.155-3.M7.bin"
