Hi,

We need to disable EM during the upgrade otherwise it will write the change to the DB causing upgrade failure. However, as per a recent update you do not need to disable it if you are upgrading to version 10.x or higher.

So to be clear, if I'm going from 10.5.1 to 10.5.2, and I don't disabled it, I should be good?

Yes.

Thank you, this information was quite insightful and very helpful.

Hi Manish,

We have migrated from CM 8.0 on MCS to CUCM 10.5(2) using PCD and EM services  weren't disabled before migration and then CUCM 10.5(2) will be upgraded to SU2a using PCD as well.

However, we have noticed that, there is additional delay of few seconds post migration if EM services aren't disabled.

Does restarting EM services across cluster fix the delay?

As you have confirmed, 10.x to 10.x upgrade disabling of EM services isnt necessary.

But, not disabling it on source cluster on MCS causing this issue?

I don't see issues with db replication on cluster.

Please suggest.

Thanks

Sami

Sami- How did you fixed the issue?

We have not disabled the Extensio Mobility while doing the Migrate from 9.x to 11.5 via PCD.

I am getting issues when users trying to login, the page for Entension  mobility shows error 404 on phone.

Also i can make them login via remote URL, but from actual phone its failing,
