Hello
We have a customer needs to upgrade the existed CUCM v5 to CUCM 8.6. Our issue that we find that we need multi hop upgrade from 5 to 7.1 and from 7.1 to 8.6, the problem that the upgrade from 5 to 7.1 became EoS.
What should we do?

I am affraid there is no good news for you but you still might want to check with Cisco's Partner Helpline team to see if the upgrade can still be ordered as a special case. Please open a presales case with them from www.cisco.com/go/ph .

I've not come across such situation but I think it will need a fresh build ( includs fresh config of dial plan, integration etc ).

License reissuing should be fine. Checkout either with Cisco's Partner Helpline team for licensing related changes across CUCM versions or mail to licensing@cisco.com
