Hi guys good day! Just want to ask your assistance on an issue with our client. Is it possible to use a unity 8 license to upgrade our client unity 4.2? The server ran out of license to accomodate larger number of users. The client has acquired license for unity8 to be able to add new users. Is this possible? if it is, anybody knows how?

Hi,
The version in the license file should match the version of Unity installed on the server. The license files are evaluated on install and any incorrect information (versions, MAC address, etc) will cause the install to fail.
It is also worth noting that Unity 4x has been end of SW support for over 12 months:
