Upgrade Path CUBAC

Hi netpro,

I want to migrate a customer from CUCM 7.1.2 to CUCM 9.1. I have to use CUBAC as existing AC is depreciated. Problem is that best way forward would be to migrate existing AC users to CUBAC so they are used to the new console before CUCM upgrade (they are physically located at different sites making cutover very difficult so needs to be staged). Problem is that to migrate to CUCM 9, I require new hardware. So I can only go to CUCM 7.1.5 on existing Call Manager hardware. Then according to release notes, only CUBAC 8.6 is backward compatible with CUCM7.1.5. I definately do not want to upgrade the CUBAC to 9 and not sure if licensing even permits this?

Is there another way of accomplishing this task perhaps?

Hi,

if you need to upgrade CCM version to version 8 and above, you should install CUBAC on a separate server.
