Upgrading CUCM 12.5(Su1) to Su8

We are currently undergoing the process of upgrading our Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) from version 12.5 (Service Update 1) to Service Update 8. i have a query pertains to whether a direct upgrade path is supported for this transition. Additionally, i would appreciate guidance on the specific COP (Change of Authorization) files that are required for this upgrade

Everything that you’re asking about is outlined in the recommended reading for any upgrade. You should read the release note, upgrade guide and OVA file for any change(s) to the virtual machine. Also the compatibility matrix is in the recommended reading material, however for an in version update it’s not essential.
