Hi,
I have a customer with existing BE6K servers with ESXi version 5.0 u1 who has identified a need to upgrade to version 6 for continued support.
Is there a step by step guide for this process and specifically to ESXi version 6? Also, what are the licensing implications with VMWare in going from version 5 to 6?
Many thanks, John.

There is plenty of documentation/videos/etc on the web and on VMware portal that you can find and which will walk you step by step, and there are few different procedures, but in a nutshell these upgrades are very straight forward.
You will require upgraded license for ESXi.
Also, make sure your application versions are compatible with ESXi 6.0. For example CUCM needs to be on version 9.1+ to be supported:

Thanks. It was confirmation of the licsensing that was my main query.
