Users wants to have their Actual DID on Outgoing Calls

Hi All,

We are using CUCM System version: 8.5.1. we have a Board line number +91 44 4404 4000, the DIDs starts from +91 44 4404 4000 to +91 44 4404 4099.

at present when the user dial an outbound call their number displays as +91 44 4404 4000 (Board line number), but they want their actual DID to be displayed instead.


Please assist.

let me know for any clarification.

in case of MGCP the configuration is in the CUCM

check the transform mask in the dial patterns. also check the translation patterns

The easiest way would be to hardcode their own external phone number mask at DN level, and then make sure to check the option in the RP to use it for outbound calls.

In this case please let us know if the internal extensions have the same mask i.e 4000 to 4099 or different extensions.

as the extensions are not in the same range, so the best way will be as our expert Jaime said. hard code each directory number with external phone number musk with his external number.

other ways will take a lot of work.

Go to

Call Routing > Route/Hunt > Route List > (Choose the Route List used by your route pattern then click on it)

After, click on Route List Details (figure 1.png) and make sure that the field Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask Required Field is set to Active (figure 2.png)
