Hi all is there a dial peer configure to help with SIP re-invites and make sure they have the correct authentication? Our carrier is saying re-invites are getting 401 error and not sending authentication. I've tried midcall-signaling passthru and still not working.
dial-peer voice 2000 pots
destination-pattern XXX4828071
authentication username XXX4828071 password 7 XXXX realm nuwave.com
port 0/0

Is that configuration actually taken from your gateway? As it’s a POTS dial peer I doubt that some of those commands would be available. Apart from that I’ve never seen authentication and password commands in reference to a dial peer, those are either used in sip-ua or in a tenant configuration.

Dial-peer 2000 is a POTS dial-peer connecting to an analog device (I assume). Could you share your complete configurations? You need a SIP dial-peer, which is a VOIP dial-peer, for connecting to a SIP provider.
