Hi, I am wondering if someone can answer my query...if I have brand new vg204xm gateway and if I plug-in analog phone to one of the ports in the back (ports 0/0 to 0/3) should I get fast busy or dial tone or nothing (dead air)? Thanks
As i remember, u should get dial-tone if it is configured. I beleive dial-tone should be there even if nothing is configured. Fast-busy tone should come only if u dial-somthing which is not configured or defined on the VG.

You should expect a dial-tone as long as there is configuration at the port of the VG.
