VG224 Faulty Ports

Hi,

We have 8 VG224 units and unfortunately after a lightning storm we now have 15 faulty ports across all 8 units.

Some are dead but the majority are just static noise.  When lifting the handset it doesn't trigger the 'Act' light or any other form of event (nothing in the logs)

I assume these are now beyond repair or is there any sort of protection on the board that can be reset or replaced?

We have got round the immediate problem by moving lines to spare ports or completely changing out the units

Hi,

we had same issue and its long time now we couldn't find a solution for those faulty ports. If you have spare lines then you can move faulty line to them. If you don't then you can forward all calls for these faulty lines individually to another working ones as a temporary workaround.
