Hi,
we have a CUCM 8.6 cluster running; now we want to connect a paging system to our IPT so users can do paging from their phones.
The paging system requires an analog connection, when there is a call to the analog line, the paging system will accept the call and wait for users to enter some more digits (let say, press 1 to page zone #1, press 2 to page #2...)
I want to use VG224 to connect to the paging system. The question is: can I provide DTMF tone to the port on VG224 (to the paging system)?
Does anyone have experience on this? Please advise.
Thanks,
hoanghiep

We've got all sorts of DTMF controlled devices (Pagers, door entry systems, etc) connected to ATAs & VG224s. Generally, they work fine. The only issue we sometimes have, is the analogue device correctly hanging up the line.

Hi,
This should work Ok provided your system can connect to an FXS port.(NOT FXO)
You will need to find the documentation for your paging system to verify the
connection type.
There was a bug CSCsg85602 which affected VG224 DTMF but later IOS should
be over this hurdle.

Alex.

I haven't deployed the system yet. But I would like to thank you now. If some issues raise, hope that I can get more support from you.
