VG224 MGCP can´t register to CUCM 8.6.2-20000-2

I have tried to register cisco VG224 to CUCM 8.6 like MGCP gateway but it fail to register, any idea why this issue?

Not sure if ios versions make a difference with registration (they haven't for me but I always use skinny) but I'm pretty sure TAC only supports 15.x on CUCM 8.6

From all my research in this issue there does seem to be a problem with the

domain name.

Just for a test can you remame the CUCM gateway domain name to TEST1

save & reset

Change the router hostname to TEST1 also make sure there is no ip domain name configured

!

hostname TEST1

no ip domain name

!

wr mem and reload

May I ask two questions.

1. Is there a firewall between the gateway and cucm

2. Must you use MGCP? Are you willing to try SCCP? If you are I can help you with the SCCP config.

CUCM and VG are in the same subnet and there isn´t any firewall between them.

I have tried to use SCCP but VG didn´t register.

I think I saw someone advise this already, but it sounds like your device name (with domain) don't match CUCM.  Do a show ccm-manager and match the "MGCP Domain Name" line of output to CUCM.  It'll never register if they don't match.

Hello Nelson

Acording to your show ccm-manager  command your VG224 is already registereed its the FXS ports not registering. I came up with similar issue on my VG224 running ios 12.4 I did shut and no shut on the FXS voice ports one by one and then all of them started registering and in this way i was able to find a turn around solution.
