VGC 7985 Phones and CDP discovery

when i do sh cdp neighbors on the switch, 7985 Phone cannot be discovered. Any Ideas?

What version of firmware is running on the 7985? The reason I ask is that I came across this bug which you maybe running into?

It states the IP Phone ignores CDP. When CDP is enabled on the switchport, the phone is not detecting CDP?

Firstly is CDP enabled on the switchport? Secondly have you tried resetting the Phone?

i did reset the phone and enabled cdp on the switch port.

firmware version on the phone is CMTERM_7985.4-1-4-0.
