VM Port for Caller ID

Scott Hanson

Hello all, If I am not mistaken in Unity Connection when a call is sent to an IP phone from VM the caller ID initially shows up as the VM port instead of the originating number. Once the call is answered the originating number shows up. I think there is a way to suppress the DN of the VM port from showing up and only showing the originating caller ID but can’t remember what that setting is. All replies rated. Thanks u advance

There's a CUCM service parameter that controls that, if you search for Unity or CUC you should find it.

This is:

Display Original Calling Number on Transfer from Cisco Unity:

This parameter determines whether Cisco CallManager displays the original calling party number for calls that are transferred from the Cisco Unity voice messaging system. Valid values specify True (display the original calling number when a call is transferred from a Unity voice messaging port) or False (display the number of the Unity voice messaging port through which the call was transferred).
This is a required field.
Default:  False

Hello

Can you find the below:-

Go to the CallManager Service parameters - Advanced  - Search for "Display Original Calling Number on Transfer from Cisco Unity" - True

Note : if it doesnot work , kindly go to CUC to release the call to switch , not supervisor transfer .

Thanks
