VMWARE and UCS CPU Mismatch

Dears

I want some confirmation on following situation. I have to install vmware on C240M3 and i have found following problem.

I have part# VMW-VS5-ST03A= Qty 12 license if for 1 CPU only, whereas the UCS server C240M3 has 2 CPUs  and the CUCM servers also installing with 2 CPU configuration. what will be issue if i move forward with this installation. I am new to IPT and this is my first US deployment.

Hi

You can register the licenses at my.vmware.com, and then get them merged using the license portal. Basically you need to pair up your 1-CPU licenses into 2-CPU licenses.

If you can't do it online you can raise a case with VMware support and they will do it for you. I've found the license portal sometimes fails to merge them (it reports success but does nothing).
