Voice Volume too low

Hey, haven't been able to find any good answer on this but we just installed a CUCM 12.5 system with 8841 phones.  The volume when on calls is really low for most, some people I cant hear on the other end.  Is there any way to turn the volume up, other than the obvious volume button on the phone?  Its not just me either, I've had others giving me the same feedback.  Wasn't sure if there was some setting buried in the Call manager somewhere to turn up the volume.

A few questions for you:

  1. Is the volume low for internal calls, PSTN calls, or both?
    • If the answer is PSTN calls only, what type of PSTN are you using? If you are using POTS analog lines, we can adjust the volume there on the voice gateway.

  2. Are users using the handset, or headsets, if they are using headsets, what kind (wired, bluetooth, DECT)?
    • If a headset is being used, some have manual volume adjustments in-line on the cables

  3. Is the experience any different if you test using speakerphone?
