I currently have a hunt group setup and if no one is available the user has an option to leave a message in a "shared general" mailbox or leave a message for an individual user. I have an alternate extension setup on each users phone so that they can see if voicemails have been left on the "shared" mailbox and then they can dial into this mailbox to check the voicemails. I have successfully set this up on hard phones and the CIPC phone. I am trying to accomplish this on a jabber phone but it appears that the voicemail is tied to the primary line. Is there a better way to do this or am I missing something in jabber? These users are used to looking at their phone to see if a voicemail has been left and I thought about using an email distribution list but then the users will not know who responded to the voicemail since all users will receive it.
