My name is Mike Rae and I am trying to get Voip working via Pennytel here in Australia.
I have the following setup:
Modem: Siemens Speedstream 4200 that signs on to Bigppnd ISP and passes an IP address to the router. DMZ is disabled.
Router: Cisco E3000 with Firewall disabled and ports 5060-5061 port forwarded to the ATA.
Cisco PAP2T ATA: Setup to Pennytel specs.
Problem:
I can receive calls. When I do I there is no incoming voice but the caller can hear me.
I cannot call out. There are no error messages, only silence and after a time the repetitive beeps of timing out.
Request:
I think the problem is in the E3000 setup? The Modem does very little and the ATA is setup to Pennytel specs. Can anyone help with areas or settings I should look at? I would be grateful for any advice.
ATA settings follow:

I have discovered that the Siemens modem provided by Telstra blocks port 5060. This disables VoiP. I am going to replace the modem. Any suggestions?
