Hello All
I am trying to configure an E1 on a 2811 Router for connection to PBX but having issues. Can anyone please advice on why there could be an issue. I am suspecting this could be an IOS issue but can you please confirm.
RTR(config)#card?
% Unrecognized command
RTR(config)#card
RTR(config)#con?
config-register connect control-plane
RTR(config)#con
The version of IOS running on the router is
"flash:c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.123-8.T8.bin"

Hi Kaushik,
According to this doc, support for the VWIC2-2MFT-G703 on the ISR-G1's was added in
IOS 12.3(14)T

Cheers!

Any card that needs to be provisioned as PRI needs to participate in clocking, otherwise you will not be able to configure the controller as PRI.

First specify the card type as E1, i.e.:
card type e1 0 3
Your IOS is extremely old as well, you might want to get something more recent.

Thanks Rob for your reply and the IOS upgrade worked; one more question i needed to clarify it needed to put the command in "network-clock-participate wic"; should i keep it on for a connection to PBX or should i do a no to that command?
Many Thanks
Kaushik
