WHAT IF: 8831 going back to 9.1

I have been working to update all of our phones before the upgrade to 10.5. What I ran into was... I updated the 8831 on the LAB system running 10.5.

It had the interim load of sip8831.9-3-3-TO-10-3-1 on the phone prior to upgrading. (cmterm-8831-sip.10-3-1-16.cop is also loaded on the 9.1 CM system)

When i tried to bring the 8831 back to our 9.1 production system it will not register again.

Factory reset sent it back to sip8831.9-3-3-TO-10-3-1. It did allow registering back to the 10.5 system, but it WILL NOT register to the 9.1 system.

Have you checked for ITL issues?

The phone prompted for the new ... OK maybe it prompted for the CTL file. I will go look and read, THANKS
