I need to understand the usage of voice codec:

what i know the analog line bandwidth is 64 kbps when iam using g711ulaw codec for example or g792 it's will compress the voice traffic to 8 kbps is that mean 1 analog line can handle 8 calls in one time ??

is 8 analog line enough for a company has 80 employee ??

Thank you

no. one RTP stream per analog port, be it g729 or g711.

80 people I would aim for 15-20% concurrency, but 15% would be enough, so 15% of these employees would be on an external call at the same time.

When you say analog line, is it pure POTS (FXO to be specific). If yes, one port can only handle a single call, inbound or outbound. So for 8 analog lines/8 analog ports, you can have a max of 8 calls inbound and outbound inclusive. I believe the solution would be underwhelming for 80 employee. You might need to look into a TDM circuit or better yet get a SIP trunk.
