HI,
I uesd 7.1.5 version CUCM. I want to change the Korean-language IP Phone(CP-7911G),so I installed cm-local file to CUCM
These phone are upgrade process " Auth fail " and Upgrade stopping
and NOT change user locale
Phones used Firmware version SCCP11.8-3-2S
HOW TO DO I ?

Hi Kim,
You will usually see "Auth Fail" when the current firmware that is running on the IP Phone
is too old to move to a newer version. For example....we know that to move to a Firmware
like 9-0-3S you must be at a minimum of 8-3-3. You are at 8.3.2S so when you
went to move to 9-0-3S you would see "Auth Fail" on the phone display and the Firmware
would not upgrade. So, this would indicate that the CUCM 7.1(5) build has a pretty new firmware
load for the 7911's that is trying to upgrade every time you go through a reset etc., you
will need to go through an incremental upgrade process to reach the desired/loaded firmware
Firmware Upgrade Issues for SCCP
Note For all SCCP firmware upgrades from firmware release versions earlier than 8.3(3) to version 8.5(3) or greater, you must first upgrade your firmware to version 8.5(2). Once you have upgraded to version 8.5(2), you can upgrade your IP Phone to version 8.5(3) or later.

Differrent between 8-3-3 and 8-3-3S?
I installed firmware cmterm-7911_7906-sccp.8-3-3.cop.sgn to CUCM.
I verified Device > Device default > 7911 SCCP default firmware's SCCP11.8-3-3S.
So, I try to phone firmware upgrade individually.
Phone > load file name > SCCP11.8-3-3S and apply.
Phone Resetting and Phone LCD appear it self ip address and " error ".
No longer NOT upgrade process, NOT change firmware and locale.
What's the Problem?

Hi Kim,
Can you please try SCCP11.8-3-4SR1S as your interim firmware
instead of the 8-3-3 version.

Does your upgrade in SCCP11.8-3-4SR1S works for you ?
I have actually SCCP11.8-3-2S and want to go to SCCP11.9-3-1SR2-1S.
I tried to upgrade before with SCCP11.8-5-2SR1S but I have also "Auth Fail".

Hello,
For the moment I could upgrade successfully my 7911 from SCCP11.8-3-2S to SCCP41.8-4-4S.
The next step is upgrading in SCCP11.9-3-1SR2-1S.
