Where do we set the RTP port range in CUCM?

Hello Friends,

I request your help in understanding the RTP port concept.

   m=audio 25268 RTP/AVP 18 0 8 101

I took this log from CUCM and wanted to know how this port is assigned dynamically or where is it defined?

Is there a place that we can look.

Hi Sanjay,

RTP port is dynamically generated by endpoint, from the range 16384 - 32767 UDP

For SIP endpoints, you can configure the range in the SIP profile.

Hi Jaime, what is the smallest range you can use?

I want to restrict traffic with ACL and have the smallest RTP range allowed only.
