Hello all.

I saw that some phones now support OPUS Codec. it would be interesting if some one using this codec in his own cluster  and if there are any issues like Music on Hold ?

Thanks in advanced.

No problem at all. The SIP protocol uses SDP to negotiate the protocol. In CUCM's "Audio Codec Preference List" you can set the priority which codec will be used. You can see that OPUS is very high in default configuration, also OPUS is automatically on in CUCM. So two phones that support OPUS may already use OPUS as codec.

Opus codec is highly preferred on the codec list that Cisco includes on the CUCM. I've been using it on some implementations, I just run once on the following bug

which however had to do with specific hardware versions of phones.
