Why CUCM doesn't play MoH on SIP Trunk

Hello,

Why CUCM doesn't play it's MoH on SIP Trunk, when we make a caller on hold? weird

It's very weird and annoying to have the remote SIP trunk always have to play the MoH when the CUCM side make the call holding.

I explain,

there are many sites that are interconnected with SIP PBX  (eg Asterisk), and the HQ use a CUCM.

All sites are connected over IP, so they use SIP trunk.

When the Asterisk users make hold or transfer the CUCM user, then the CUCM user hears the MOH of Asterisk.

But when the Asterisk is made on hold by CUCM user, then the Asterisk user still hear the MoH of the Asterisk. weird

Using MTP is not good also for the CUCM as we plan to use video.

The usage of CUBE present the same case.

So is there any solution for that?

what is the version of your callmanger?

Hello,

The CUCM version are  6.0 and 8.0.

I've tested with other version of Asterisk1.8, and seen that it may be a problem of codec mismatch.

We can hear the CUCM6.0 MoH but we cannot hear the CUCM8.0's Moh
