windows 2008 on UCS 220 M3

Hi ,

We are trying to install windows 2008 on UCS 220 M3 , and we do not see any harddisk to install..

How can achieve this ?

Hi Purna,

you need to configure the RAID to see the HDD. you need to enter the CIMC and web bios to acheive that

Those servers are meant for virtualization, you install any OS over the hypervisor, not on the bare metal.

Hi ,

I have created the RAID , and downloaded the following and installed the windows 2008 on UCS 220 M3 ,

the only problem now letf is the network driver is no there in the drivers ios..all other drivers are there....

anyway that we can get the network driver for windows 2008 on UCS 220 M3 ?

Hi ,

Thanks for the info..we have removed the server,opened the cover ....checked for the Network chipset (intel i350 am2 )

and downloaded the windows 2008 driver from the intel site..it is working now..
