can configuring ipv6 address on already configured and functional ipv4 address will cause service interruption ?

Can configuring ipv6 address on ipv4 interface will cause any service interruption on the running ipv6 address. Thanks

Hi,

 

If you are configuring ipv6 address on an interface running ipv4, then there should be impact to the ipv4 traffic on the interface.

Hi mate 

are you sure that it will impact because the interface is capable of having both ipv6 and ipv4 address

Adding ipv6 to the interface should not impact the ipv4 traffic, as they are two different stacks.
