IPV6 migration using NAT64 and dual stack on ASR1001-x

Hello guys (and girls),

I am planning to move a big network to IPV6 addressing.
I have a server farm, many of them do not supporting IPV6.I am planning to use ASR1001-X for the NAT64 translation.

The setup will is in the attached diagram.

The migration procedure will begin by migrating users phase by phase to the IPV6 addressing and finally the server.

Stateful NAT64 using an ASR1001-X is the best approach to ensure that the IPV6 users are able to communicate with the IPV4 server.

My configuration will resemble a typical dynamic stateful NAT64 config with a little modification. The interface facing the IPV6 network will be in dual stack.

Do you think that the dual stack will be supported in this case in the NAT64 translator? Or will the IPV4 users be denied of access once the NAT64 translator has been installed.

 Let me know your thoughts.

Ashaan
