Do any current cisco equipment support 464xlat?
My goal is to either transition to ipv6 or even better start with ipv6. My understanding is if there's applications that need ipv4, 464xlat can take care of them in some instances.

I would recommend you look at MAP-T. MAP-T allows you to offer dual stack to your customer, but over an IPv6 only network. So like xlat it also use a NAT464 paradigm. MAP-T does stateless translation and therefore would scale much better than 464XLAT that uses stateful translation on the PLAT.

Can you tell us more about the type of deployment for which you are considering XLAT464? Unless it is for a mobile (4G, LTE) network, this is probably not for you.

the setup is a WISP (wireless ISP). Different routes to the internet may be fiber, coaxial, or even 4G although currently we are using majority fiber. The customers will use proprietary mimosa, ubiquiti style dishes at their location.
The issue arose that each customer may want their own public ipv4 address, and ARIN isn't handing out anymore. so the idea to use ipv6 fully raises the question of compatibility and having customers access everything that's already on ipv4 addresses.

The deployment type of XLAT464 is being considered. The object is an LTE 4G network
