I trashed the free version of Jabber on My mac so I could completely change where the VCS points to (don't want it to point to the cisco proxy) but the proxy address refuses to go away.
How do I get rid of the prefs so I can point to my VCS?
thanks
Douglas,
Try the following procedure:
1. Delete com.cisco.JabberVideo.plist
Go to user folder (username) ->
Library ->
Perferences ->
Delete com.cisco.JabberVideo.plist (Move to Trash)
2. Re-install Movi and Sign-in with new userID/password
I'll give that a try. I also found the forced config plist which was easy to hand change. I know you guys don't support that but that works as well. The forced config plist file location should be documented somewhere for people who have this similar situation.
I have one laptop, but there are times I want to use the free service for personal use and times I want to use my work's service. Having the ability to have profiles within the client so I can switch easily between VCS servers, proxy addresses etc would REALLY be helpful
Hi Douglas,
you can use the jabber version 4.4 from cisco.com . It will allow you to change the provisioning parameter .
As for the free jabber use this link as the provisioning parameter -
