ASR9K NED issue

Hi NSO Community,

I am facing below ASR9K NED issues while configuring the device.

  A. Route Policy configuration – I am trying to  do below configuration:

route-policy INTERASN-L2VPN-WORKAROUND

apply INTERASN-L2VPN-EGRESS-SETCOMM ([% CRAN-ASN %], [% VRF-TARGET %], [% ASN-COMMUNITY %], VRF[% CRAN-ASN %]:[% VRF-TARGET %])

Pass

end-policy !

But I am able to pass only one value <tag> under <route-policy>. If I pass another <value>, it is replaced with the old one.

<route-policy xmlns="http://tail-f.com/ned/cisco-ios-xr”>

<name>NTERASN-L2VPN-WORKAROUND</name>

<value>apply INTERASN-L2VPN-EGRESS-SETCOMM ([% CRAN-ASN %], [% VRF-TARGET %], [% ASN-COMMUNITY %], VRF[% CRAN-ASN %]:[% VRF-TARGET %])</value>

</route-policy>

  B. L2VPN configuration – I am trying to do below configuration:

1. !l2vpn

2. l2vpn

3.  ! VRF-TARGET: two-digit market code plus five-digit VPN-ID

4.  bridge group [% SERVICE-TYPE %]-[% CUSTOMER-ACCOUNT-NUMBER %]-[% VRF-TARGET %]

5.   bridge-domain [% VRF-TARGET %]

6.    mac

7.     limit

8.      maximum 2500

9.      action flood

10.      notification both

11.     !

12.    !

13.    mtu 9082

14.    interface GigabitEthernet[% R/S/P/I %].[% VLAN %]

15.     storm-control broadcast pps 300

16.     storm-control unknown-unicast pps 300

17.    !

18.    vfi [% VRF-TARGET %]

19.     vpn-id [% 5-DIGIT-VPNID %]

20.     autodiscovery bgp

21.     rd [% LOOPBACK10-IPV4-ADDRESS %]:[% 5-DIGIT-VPNID %]

22.     route-target [% CRAN-ASN %]:[% VRF-TARGET %]

23.      signaling-protocol bgp

24.       ve-id [% VE-ID %]

25.       ve-range 100

26.      !

27.     !

28.    !

29.   !

In the above configuration I am not getting option for bgp in signaling-protocol. It has only ldp option. Under bgp I need to configure ve-id and ve-range.

Thanks in advance!

Vishesh Kansal

Re: ASR9K NED issue

Here is an example from the template file that I did for a customer POC a while back:

        <route-policy xmlns="http://tail-f.com/ned/cisco-ios-xr">

          <name>RP-{$ROUTER-NAME}</name>

          <value>if not (destination in PS-DEFAULT-ROUTE and extcommunity rt matches-any RTSET-TID) then

            set extcommunity rt RTSET-{$ROUTER-NAME} additive

            endif

          </value>

        </route-policy>

I’m presuming from the CLI you just do:

route-policy mypolicy “line1 \n line2 \n line3”

I haven’t tried it, give it a go.

Do you have a Tail-f Solutions Architect who can help you raise the ticket on the Comcast queue ?

Thanks,

Bilal.

Re: ASR9K NED issue

Hi Vishesh,

Last I played around with route-policy, it takes only one string. I think it used to be a list. So you will have to have all your lines separated by new-line character and expressed as one string.

Regarding B, looks like the model needs to be extended to add the nodes that you are after. If this is for a customer then raise a ticket and it will get fixed up. If this is for your own lab work then perhaps go ahead and add the node and recompile the NED.

Thanks,

Bilal.

Re: ASR9K NED issue

Hi Bilal,

Thanks for reply! Can you please provide me example that how can put the string line separated on ncs cli?

Regarding B, yes it is the requirement for the customer Comcast.
