Can’t start nso after failed packages reload

I’m having an issue starting NSO on a lab server.

NSO got stuck and unresponsive while performing packages reload.

I stopped it, and now when trying to start it I’m getting this error:

[root@tail-f ibc-ncs]# ncs
CDB: Upgrade failed: Upgrade transaction failed to validate: /ncs:devices/device{d1}/device-type/netconf : A NETCONF device must have a authgroup.
Daemon died status=13

(starting with packages reload makes no difference)

It seems as device d1 stops it from coming up.

The device is of no importance to me, but I’ll prefer not to destroy the rest of data on the deployment (devices, deployed services, etc.).

Any thoughts on how to recover from this?

Thanks,

Yftach

Hey,

I reproduced the issue and found that while NCS is trying to come up with the CDB data and it is trying to connect the “d” device(NETCONF) for which there is no authgroup defined and it was throwing the error.

I cleared the CDB data from the ncs-cdb and now it came up.

Please let me know if I can help you adding those devices again. Please check and revert.

Hi Tamal,

Thank you very much for your assistance. I appreciate it greatly!

For future reference, can you explain how do you clear the ncs-cdb?

Thanks again,
