DPSS doesn't recieve packets

hi,

I'm running the DPSS tutorial on a HW router with 2 GWs: 10.226.222.1 and 10.226.224.1,

I set some UDP IPv4 flows between GW1 and GW2.

DPSS is running but I think that the DPSS is miss-configured since it doesn't capture any packets: the dpss_display_pak_info_callback function doesn't print anything, and when the application is "waiting for packets" is receives non.

On dpss.conf: LOCAL_IP 10.226.222.20 (All In One VM address),

On tutorial.properties:

-a 10.226.222.1 -i GigabitEthernet0/1

# show onep dpss

VM Tport State

1     GRE     open

     Local-addr:     10.226.224.1

     Remote-addr:     10.10.10.1

# show cef dpss

     Tunnel: Tunnel1, GRE handle 0x2BDE284

Remote Endpoint 0x2 L-EP 0x153BF8DC; address 10.10.10.1

OCE: RAW midchain out if Tunnel1, addr 10.10.10.1 026C9000

VM 2: R-EP 0x2

     SeqNo Errors (Local/Remote): 0/0

     SeqNo (Local/Remote): 193/4294967295

     Locks: 1, Opens: 1, Refs: 4

     Punt/Divert/Copy: 0/0/193, Reinject/Inject/Drop: 0/0/0

Errors: 384

CET FOs free/in use: 256/0, errors: 0

Reinject handles free/in use:10000/0, errors: 0

Encode/Decode buffer size: 65674 bytes, memory: 0x2E9F384

Particle allocation errors: 0

Could you please help me to configure DPSS so it would be able to capture the packets?

Thanks

Michal

Re: DPSS doesn't recieve packets

Michael,

The show CEF DPSS command output shows 10.10.10.1 for remote-address, which will be the target address for packets coming from the router. This suggests that the config change you have for LOCAL_IP to 10.226.222.20 has not taken effect. Have you restarted the dpss_mp process? Also, please ensure the address configured in LOCAL_IP is rout able from the router.

Cheers,

Einar

Re: DPSS doesn't recieve packets

Hi Einar,

The problem was that dpss was using the c64 file while I configured the c32 file.

Now all is working.

Thank you
