Hi

May I know what is the status of NSO in DT TeraStream? Did DT go ahead? E.g. is it already deployed? In which countries? What is the status, etc?

High level info will do. Thanks.

 

I am trying to collate some case studies on NSO and NFV.

Markus is the NSO PSS for this engagement. The way I understand it, Terastream has been a successful experiment, and we are now expecting the order for the commercial roll-out, called PanNET, in this quarter.

Good to know. From the Wins page, Germany and Croatia were mentioned. Were these the places for the experiments or did we actually have a pilot or actual deployment there?

In terms of Terastream we have the pilot running in Croatia and Germany. We also have NSO in production for CloudVPN (derived from Terastream) with service in Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia running in DCs in Croatia and Germany.

In both countries DT has deployed Terastream with NSO. In Croatia it was more a green field deployment. They are still in production with NSO. On Top from Croatia they using NSO also as part of CloudVPN.

Perhaps a small caveat: DT decided to stop the VMS offer. Business case was not sound afaik. Whether they have already taken it out of production, i do not know.

Are you referring to their CloudVPN deployments based on VMS1.x / NSO bespoke solution that runs as part of there PANNET, or something else ?

That and the multivendor Terastream pilot on IP+Optical running in Germany & Croatia.

I stand corrected. Stefan is right and CloudVPN in DT is indeed shutting down.
