label and comment field in Rollback files

Hi,

My customer will use NSO through REST API, but wondering how to select rollback file.

Rollback file name ³0², ³1², .. is not enough for customer purpose.

Customer asks if ³label² or ³comment² can be specified in REST PUT/POST method, this field can be used for transaction id code from upper OSS system.

So, question is <label> or <comment> can be set in REST API ?

$ curl -u admin:admin -X GET "http://127.0.0.1:8080/api/rollbacks" -H "Application:vnd.yang.api+xml"

        The result looks like:

     <rollbacks xmlns="http://tail-f.com/ns/rest"...>

       <file>

<name>0</name>

<creator>admin</creator>

<date>2014-09-23 14:53:23</date>

<via>rest</via>

<label></label>

<comment></comment>

</file>

       <file>

<name>1</name>

Bilal,

Perhaps we can get  commit label and comment functionality into the maapi applyTrans() commit Flags as well..

Not there today.

I can see that label can be set via the CLI:

admin@ncs(config)# commit

Possible completions:

label - Add a commit label

Didn’t see that in the REST documentation. Perhaps we need to add that.

  Thanks,

Hi Larry,

Yes, that would help.

We are seeing multiple request from the field for a way to correlate the rollback files back to a service-instance commit that has been done from the North. Using the label and adding some metadata in there should help.

I’ll work with Watanabe-san and get a ticket raised.

Thanks,

  1. Bilal.
