load merge of esc deployment file in nso

Hey Team, is it possible to load (with minimum modifications) the esc deployment xml file in nso? Else, is it possible to “translate” esc deployment file to sequence of set commands in nso to achieve the same goal?

Thanks for help

Kali

Hi Kali,

Any XML loaded into NSO (I’m presuming with the “load” cmd) has to perfectly match one of the existing models in NSO (yang models accompanied in the NED packages or Service packages).

NSO talks to ESC via NETCONF based NED. So if the deployment xml being referred to is the same as the models described in its NETCONF-NED then it should work.

The other option may be is to configure ESC and then do a sync-from. Then you can dump and save the configs that were sync’ed into NSO as XML.

Thanks,

  Bilal

Kali,

Please see the attached XML, it contains a deployment of a CSR1kv.

It has been exported with: show devices device esc0 config | display xml | save CSR-dep.xml
