ned compile error - make: *** No rule to make target `/src/ncs/build/include.ncs.mk'. Stop.

Hi,

After a fresh local install I copy the packages folder (under app folder) to my ncs-run.

When I try to compile iosxr ned I get the following error message...

Will appreciate feedback as to what might be wrong here...

ozguler@nso:~/ncs-run/packages/neds/cisco-iosxr/src$ make

Makefile:17: /src/ncs/build/include.ncs.mk: No such file or directory

make: *** No rule to make target `/src/ncs/build/include.ncs.mk'.  Stop.

ozguler@nso:~/ncs-run/packages/neds/cisco-iosxr/src$

I get the same when try to compile the neds under the app installation directory.

ozguler@nso:~/nso-4.2/packages/neds/cisco-iosxr/src$ pwd

/home/ozguler/nso-4.2/packages/neds/cisco-iosxr/src

ozguler@nso:~/nso-4.2/packages/neds/cisco-iosxr/src$ make

Makefile:17: /src/ncs/build/include.ncs.mk: No such file or directory

make: *** No rule to make target `/src/ncs/build/include.ncs.mk'.  Stop.

ozguler@nso:~/nso-4.2/packages/neds/cisco-iosxr/src$

Thanks,

Ozgur

This is occurring because you don't have your environment variables set correctly. So to do so you can do source ~/<NCS-DIR>/ncsrc or the equivalent on your shell.

Hi Ozgur,

Your environment variables are not set. If this is a local install you need to import your ncsrc file.

Best regards,

Michel
