Hi,
I ran into a small problem with my NETSIM’s today. I launched a small NETSIM simulation on a Linux VM as a non-root user and I found that I was unable to connect to the CLI consoles. On a hunch I killed the NETSIMs, su’d to root and re-launched the NETSIMS. This time I was able to connect to the various CLI consoles.
Is this the expected behavior? Do you have to be root to run NETSIMs on Linux? (I know that I don’t have to be root on my OS X NSO installation.)
Is there some way to launch a NETSIM on Linux as a normal non-root user?
Please advise.
