NSO 4.2 device traces - how to enable for existing devices

 

Hi,

 

 

Since upgrading to NSO 4.2 – seems I am unable to initiate device traces for existing devices.

 

 

I set “devices global settings trace pretty” in the NCS cli, restarted NCS. Still no devices traces.

 

 

What is the trick in NSO 4.2?

Hi JA , could you try setting trace for a few devices (per device vs. global setting) to see if that helps ?

Hi,

 

 

What I could see is following:

 

Once I enable trace I can see new files being generated only once the error happens… I did sync-from to netsim devices where I had issue with 2 of them, for those trace was create, for that that everything was fine no trace created.

 

Once I did restart NSO all traces are created. Not sure if that is a bug or a feature

I guess in that instance – will open an TAC case J Since multiple of us are experiencing the issue.
