Hi Team,
Please forgive me for cross-posting this question.
NTT-East is concerned about whether MANO system works if NTP server goes down and time gets unsynchronized across nodes (NSO, ESC, NFVI and VTS).
Regarding NFVI, I found NTP requirement for OpenStack below and confirmed control node is configured as NTP server across NFVI nodes by default.
http://docs.openstack.org/ops-guide/arch-network-design.html
Is there any such a NTP time sync requirement for NSO, ESC and VTS? NTT-East has HA configuration on every product. Do we need NTP time sync between active/standby node as a product requirement?

I can answer for NSO, we have no or at least very low requirements on synced clock. AFAIK the only badness would be wrong timestamps in logs.
We do not use time to synchronize anything.

Hi Hirano-san,
ESC does not have a high dependency on the accuracy in time except for timestamp in ESC logs.

Hi Klacke, Michael,
Thanks a lot for the quick reply. That is perfect!
VTS Team,
Can you please check if there is a NTP requirement for VTS? I guess there is no strict requirement but would like to have the confirmation.

+Thangam (VTS architect)
Hi Hirano-San
VTS like other components has no strict requirements for NTP. But will let Thangam double confirm this.
To better synchronize the timestamps logs between Mercury and VTS we had advised adding the Mercury Management Node as the NTP server.
