Typical port numbers used by NSO and ESC

Hi All,

For a LGI Business Services  RFP I'm looking for a document outlining the typical port usage by NSO/ESC.

  1. E.g.:

Admin Interface: TCP/2024

SSH to device: TCP/22

Webportal: TCP/433

  1. etc.

Do we have such a thing?

Met vriendelijke groet / With kind regard,
Dirk-Jan van Helmond

Hi Dirk Jan,

I went through ncs.conf and its man page for you

Here are the ports that where NSO is listening by default

Webui http: 8080

Netconf Northbound over ssh: 2022

Port for Internal process communication:4569 (it is listening on 127.0.0.1, so this is not externally reachable, unless you configure it differently)

Then NSO can be configured to listen to other ports but these are by default disabled, they are also all configurable.

Webui https:8088

Netconf northbound over tcp:2023

Neconf cli via ssh: 2024

Used by slave to listen for connections from master in HA case: 4570

Hi Dirk-Jan,

All the NSO ports being used are configurable and the current ones being used can be inspected in the “ncs.conf” file.

You could also do:

“man ncs.conf”

For more details.

Thanks,

Bilal.

Additionally, as it may not be obvious:

NSO talks to ESC via netconf on port 830

Hi Julie Ann,

I listed only the ports where NSO listens, the ports where it opens connections are very very many, and dependent on what it is doing/ ssh/telnet/http/syslog/snmp/netconf etc. etc. These are dependent on the system that is listening at the other end.

Stefano
