interoperability OAM "Y1731 FM with 802.1 ag CFM"

Dear Master,

I'm deploying a new Metro Ethernet network and I'm not sure which OAM protocol fault Management should be use “802.1 g (CFM) or the new Y1731 FM”. All examples that I am seeing are using 802.1ag for Faults and Y1731 for Performance. Now the Y1731 covers the AM and FM.

My doubt:
If I choose to use only the Y1731 for FM and PM I will facing problem with interoperability with another Server Provider that use 802.1 ag "CFM"? Below you can see the drawing representing the doubt.

Thanks in advance for any help.

According the ppt Cisco Live BRKNMS-2202 the

OAM PDU fields must be the same.

"Frame formats (Multicast Address, Ethertype, and common OAM PDU fields) and base functionality are generally agreed upon across IEEE 802.1ag and Y.1731"
