Hi Ray,
in-band management means that you use the same network infrastructure for both user data and management. That implies that you don't need specific interfaces or IP addresses to configure that.
You will be basically using the same switch IP (it could be a loopback with an IP or a SVI in any given VLAN or a L3 port) for both control plane traffic (routing protocols etc) and management (telnet, shh, ntp, snmp, syslog etc.)
So just assign an IP address in the vlan (usaually you will configure a SVI for that) where you want to manage your devices and make sure that that vlan is in the vlan database and forwarded on at least 1 L2 port.
