I am facing with a case where it would be useful to have qinq support on private vlan trunk port. I would have about 10 primary/secondary (isolated) vlan associations. Secondary vlans would be tagged and accessible via pvlan trunk port. So far nothing special. What is a bit unusual demand is that I would like to have one of those associations to support qinq. It means that outer (secondary) vlan id is rewritten to primary one in uplink direction according to pvlan rules and the opposite happens in downlink direction. Inner VLAN ID stays untouched in both cases. The question is what would 4500 device do with such a packet. Would it forward a packet according to pvlan rules regardless it is double tagged packet or would 4500 device drop it??
