Release notes 10.3 - /api/location/v2/clients API

Referring to the release notes on 10.3:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/mse/release/notes/cmx_10_3_rn.html

It mentions this:

CSCva36827 Instead of the /api/location/v2/clients API or /api/location/v2/clients/ API, use the /api/location/v1/clients API to get a report on the number of active clients.

I ran into the issue of getting the zero clients returned from /api/location/v2/clients/count and so I switched to/api/location/v1/clients/count as per the release notes but I still encountered getting zero results returned.

I tried to lookup more detail on bug took kit but there is no information available on this issue.

Is there any more information available on this bug ?

Thanks

Leigh.

Re: Release notes 10.3 - /api/location/v2/clients API

Hi Leigh,

I wasn't able to reproduce the error in the Devnet CMX sandbox running CMX 10.3.1-35.

The CDETS CSCva36827 ticket has been marked U-Unreproducible.

The defect will be ignored with documentation update.

Summary comments are as follows:

A "restart all" from the GUI did not resolve the issue, but a CLI root reboot did fix the problem.  The /api/location/v2/clients resources now work fine on the CMX 10.2.2.

Can't reproduce.

HTTP GET /api/location/v2/clients/count works fine on 10.3.0-62 CCO build.

Please test it and Mark it U or J.

Re-opening for fix for 10.3.1

10.3-RNE="Instead of the /api/location/v2/clients API or /api/location/v2/clients/ API, use the

/api/location/v1/clients API to get a report on the number of active clients."

CMX 10.4 will be available this month.  If you would like to give it a try early, I can share the link for the beta download.

Thanks,

Matt

Re: Release notes 10.3 - /api/location/v2/clients API

Hi Matt

After a reboot of CMX the API is now working as expected.

What's the difference between the two ?

/api/location/v1clients/

/api/location/v2/clients/

There is only documentation on v2 API.

Yes - I would be interested in trying the 3.4 beta. Are there new API's available in this version ?

Thanks for your quick response.

Leigh

Re: Release notes 10.3 - /api/location/v2/clients API

Hi Leigh,

The /v2/clients supports pagination based on page and page size.

Pagination: api/location/v2/clients?include=metadata&page=x&pageSize=x

Regarding access to CMX 10.4 Beta download, please email matfarre@cisco.com for link.

Thanks,

Matt
