SSID coming empty for ASSOCIATED client

Hi,

For connected devices (“dot11Status” is ASSOCIATED) we are getting the ssid as null/empty in some cases. We are expecting some value for ssId in case of connected devices.

Below is sample instance of data coming from CMX.

Here “dot11Status” is ASSOCIATED i.e. connected but its ssId is an empty string (marked as red below). Such kind of data is coming for quite a few records.

Re: SSID coming empty for ASSOCIATED client

Hi,

Which version of CMX 10 are you using?

Is this a REST API GET command response?  For Wireless Client, Tags, or other?

Is this a notification subscription response?  For which event type?

Note, for associated tags CMX does not return SSID in the response body of location query.

Re: SSID coming empty for ASSOCIATED client

Hi,

The response appears to be a CMX 10.x REST API to return all active clients, possibly searched by macAddress.  Note, the ipAddress is null, also.  If possible, please upgrade your version of CMX to the latest release.  CMX 10.2.2 Early Distribution should be available in May.

Re: SSID coming empty for ASSOCIATED client

Thanks.

The data is for the active clients API as below :

https://<<mseip>>/api/location/v2/clients

with pagination constraint. No other constraints are applied.

So is this fixed in the latest build ? If so can you please specify the version to which it should be upgraded.

Hi,

10.2.2 will be posted to CCO soon.  Currently there is a final beta image that is available to anyone to try.
