Hi

I have downloaded the Cisco Context Aware MSVS Plugin V6.0.1 and installed it into my VS 2005 environment.
I openned a new C# project, and using the Starter Kits

I followed the steps in the User Guide for Cisco Context-Aware Mobility API Plug-In (Microsoft Visual Studio),  Release Version: 1.0.02, Chapter 3.

Under the Starter Kit - Indoor Asset Tracking section, Step 7 - Enter the location appliance server credentials, what is the URL I should put as the URL? I tried to put the http://MSEIPAddress but I get the following:
Login failed. Check wether you have entered the correct URL.

Please advise. Thanks

Hi CK,

You also have to include the legacy port...the default is 8001.

so it is http://MSEIPAddress:8001

Hi Matt,

I tried the http://MSEIPAddress:8001 but also no luck.

For your information, I am using the Cisco-MSE-Demo-5-2-91-0-32bit downloaded from the Resources page.

Thank you.

Hi Matt,

Yes. I have used the indoor asset tracker sample application and put in the http://10.8.2.97:8001 and https://10.8.2.97:8001 as the URL, username/password admin/admin. But I am still getting the following error:

Login failed. Check wether you have entered the correct URL.

Thanks.

Hi Matt,

Please see attached for the ServerInfo.

Yes, I can ping to 10.8.2.97.

I have try the URL https://10.8.2.97/location/ but also failed, but at least I can pass the authentication part. I will get the error when callingthe following function at rNwDesignList = mLocationService.GetNetworkDesignList(glarg); code:
        private void LoadScreenWithNetworkDesigns()
        {
            GetListArgs glarg = new GetListArgs();
            glarg.AesBusinessSession = mAesBusinessSession;
            rNwDesignList = mLocationService.GetNetworkDesignList(glarg);
            if (rNwDesignList != null && rNwDesignList.Items != null && rNwDesignList.Items.Length > 0)
            {
                foreach (AesNetworkDesign aNwDesign in rNwDesignList.Items)
                {
                    cmb_NwDesign.Items.Add(aNwDesign.name);
                }
            }
        }

Is this true? Is this is the corrent URL to test with?

Thank you.

Hi CK,

Have you run setup.sh?  Which IP address have you set up for your simulator?  Can you send me a screenshot of your simulator when you run the ifconfig command?

Regards,

Matt

Ok, then to use the indoor asset tracker sample application you would login to http://10.8.2.97:8001 with username/password admin/admin as those are the default on MSE simulator.

Hi CK,

Can you run getserverinfo on the simulator and post the screenshot?  Also, are you able to ping 10.8.2.97?

Hi CK,

I'm sorry but I'm still a bit confused as to what is occurring.  Are you trying to edit the code in the Indoor Asset Tracking application or are you just running it and having trouble?  The application should just be run with no changes made to it.  Can you send a screenshot of the error?

Thanks,

Matt
